Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in engineering, mathematics, or physical sciences, or a related combination of experience and training - At least 12 years of progressively responsible experience in systems engineering, program management, or similar technical fields - Proven background as a RF Engineer or in a comparable position - In-depth knowledge of RF systems, test equipment, procedures, and principles - Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively - Experience working within dynamic Program Office environments alongside government and FFRDC personnel - Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills; adept at presenting and drafting technical documents - Willingness to travel (10-25%) - Current TS/SCI security clearance with SAP eligibility issued by the US Government, with U.S. citizenship required for clearance - Previous demonstration of Aerospaces Leadership Competency Model elements: leading change, strategic operation, fostering innovation, delivering results, and engaging with impact

Responsibilities

- Support program reviews, design, development, testing, and transition to operations of critical systems - Serve as the primary technical representative supporting the Program Manager (O-5) - Ensure understanding and implementation of design requirements for system architecture, mission concepts, prototypes, testing, and operational support - Analyze and implement radio frequency (RF) designs effectively - Collaborate with a team to oversee the development, testing, and manufacturing of RF equipment - Ensure mission assurance and facilitate integration efforts - Oversee critical testing efforts, ensuring adherence to procedures and plans - Assist with investigations of integration and testing anomalies, providing essential insights to maintain schedule, cost, and hardware integrity - Identify risk factors and develop mitigation strategies to achieve mission goals - Represent the interests of the Space Rapid Capabilities Office (SpRCO) in Aerospace backplane communications - Coordinate with subject matter experts from the Aerospace Engineering Technical Group (ETG) to apply their expertise for addressing critical challenges - Collaborate closely with a diverse team of military personnel, government civilians, prime contractors, systems engineering and integration contractors, FFRDCs, and National Laboratories
