Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited program in Remote Sensing, Astronomy, Physics, Mathematics, Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline - 12 or more years of experience in radar systems with a technical or programmatic focus - Proven history of leading technical teams within a matrixed environment - Significant familiarity with the DoD acquisition process - Demonstrated ability to identify risks and collaborate effectively with engineering peers, customers, and contractors to address issues - Willingness to travel domestically and internationally approximately 10% - Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance from the US government

Responsibilities

- Act as the chief engineer for radar hardware and serve as the integration lead in partnership with government and FFRDC personnel, supporting the GBRD program manager - Engage in multi-phase projects aimed at enhancing radar capabilities for Space Domain Awareness (SDA) - Oversee the acquisition of Aerospace Engineering Technology Group teams, leading analyses in requirements development, risk assessment, sensor performance, and systems engineering - Serve as a spokesperson and senior mentor on hardware design, performance, and operations related to new SDA radar systems
