Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in engineering, science, mathematics, or a related technical discipline
- Generally 12 or more years of experience in engineering or scientific roles related to acquisition planning and development of national security space systems
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and creatively within multidisciplinary teams to design and implement space systems or prototypes
- Experience in developing spacecraft subsystems along with expertise in integrating, testing, and fielding space vehicles
- Knowledge of Digital Engineering principles and Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) tools
- Proficient in evaluating space vehicle architecture and subsystem designs including structures, communication, data handling, guidance navigation, power, propulsion, and payloads
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster effective relationships with government clients and partners to consistently deliver high-quality outcomes under tight deadlines
- Current Top Secret/SCI security clearance granted by the U.S. government; U.S. citizenship is necessary to secure a clearance
- Willingness to travel up to 10%
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to the Governments SSC Resilient MW/MT/MD Acquisition Delta space segment program manager and their staff
- Collaborate with government leaders, SETA contractors, development contractors, and the Missile Warning/Tracking community to synchronize space vehicle development and operational needs
- Conduct technical evaluations of design documentation supporting space vehicle and subsystem development, rapid deployment, and on-orbit operations
- Facilitate space vehicle integration of OPIR mission and communication payloads for system-level testing and launch
- Implement the programs Digital Engineering strategy and integrate MBSE models with mission-level simulations
- Leverage Aerospaces experts to provide objective, data-informed assessments
- Coordinate with MEO payload, ground, and systems engineering teams to adhere to program execution and delivery schedules
- Analyze risk, scheduling, and cost trade-offs to ensure timely delivery of capabilities aligned with mission goals
