Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related STEM field
- At least 8 years of applicable technical experience
- Solid understanding of Electromagnetic Theory, Physics, and lab component/circuit characterization methods
- Fundamental knowledge of EMC, ESD, and TEMPEST design practices
- Willingness to travel domestically up to 25%
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, requiring U.S. citizenship
- For Senior Engineering Specialist: Minimum of 12 years of relevant technical experience
- Demonstrated project development and technical leadership experience
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support on Electromagnetic Environmental Effects for SMC, NRO, Civil, and Commercial Space initiatives
- Assess and review contractor EMC analytical and testing reports
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor for clients throughout the project lifecycle, from conceptual design through to proposal evaluation, design validation, launch operations, and anomaly investigation with root-cause analysis and corrective actions in Electromagnetic Environmental Effects, TEMPEST, or Cable and Harness development and verification
- Evaluate designs for contractor spacecraft and launch vehicle electrical and electronic systems, including both intentional and unintentional electromagnetic emissions and their susceptibility to varied electromagnetic environments
- Responsibilities may evolve or new tasks may be assigned as necessary
- Mentor junior team members in your areas of expertise
