Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in a technical or STEM-related discipline such as electrical engineering, computer science, physics, or mathematics. - A minimum of 12 years of experience in national security space and communication systems. - Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time. - An active TS/SCI security clearance requirement, with the ability to gain and sustain access to Special Access Programs.

Responsibilities

- Take ownership of the Technical Baseline by applying expertise in RF chains, link budgets, modulation schemes, antennas, signal processing, and network architectures to aid the Space Force in making informed contract decisions. - Collaborate effectively with acquisition, operational, test, intelligence, and design teams to ensure smooth integration of new systems with existing space and ground segments. - Conduct mission analyses and requirements assessments to distill warfighter needs into clear system specifications, statements of work, interface criteria, and performance metrics. - Oversee vendor proposal evaluations and monitor execution to ensure contractor designs adhere to stringent performance standards. - Identify and develop risk management plans for technical, cost, and scheduling challenges to secure mission success. - Plan and manage critical testing events and assess evaluation outputs to validate that complex system requirements are met. - Integrate specialists from Aerospaces Engineering & Technology Group, leveraging elite lab capabilities to tackle significant technical challenges. - Serve as a technical authority and mentor, disseminating system capabilities and constraints through expert reports and briefings while cultivating the next generation of engineers.
