Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a STEM field, specializing in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Over 10 years of relevant software experience, with a minimum of 2 years focused on software architecture for systems with high software intensity; experience in the space systems field is advantageous.
- Proven capability in building effective team dynamics with diverse groups, including government clients, contractors, and Aerospace personnel.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Oracle, Google, or Azure.
- Solid hands-on experience with cloud-native Kubernetes frameworks.
- Proficiency with Red Hat or other Linux-based operating systems.
- Practical experience with VMware offerings like Cloud Foundation and Tanzu Kubernetes.
- Willingness to make occasional travel to workplaces or client sites, approximately 10% as needed.
- Knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and relevant experience in ISSM, ISSO, ISSE cybersecurity roles.
- This role requires the ability to secure and maintain a security clearance issued by the U.S. government; U.S. citizenship is necessary for clearance acquisition.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing a significant, multi-phase project for DAF CLOUDworks in collaboration with System Delta 81, System Delta 85, Operational Test and Training Infrastructure, and other key stakeholders involved in hybrid cloud systems.
- Actively managing projects and cyber-related deliveries within Government-Owned Cloud settings like DAF CLOUDworks, JWCC, and Platform One, among others as specified.
- Collaborating with program clients to gather requirements, coordinating with internal Aerospace technical teams to achieve objectives, and communicating insights and updates to Aerospace leadership regarding customer concerns, risks, and opportunities.
- Utilizing technical skills across various domains as a senior authority, which may involve troubleshooting software system problems. Support areas may include software development, software architecture, data strategies, data security and synchronization, enterprise systems, technology recommendations, secure cloud and virtualization deployments, and microservices and API development.
- Identifying innovative and exciting opportunities to adopt new technologies to meet current demands and anticipate future challenges.
- Cultivating and sustaining effective working relationships with customer leadership, contractors delivering capabilities, the Engineering Technical Group, and other program support organizations, including preparing technical documentation and presenting to crucial stakeholders and senior management.
- Interfacing with Cloud program office management and authorization officials at 16th AF and efficiently operating in a diverse, badge-less contracting team environment.
- Conducting engineering studies, readiness reviews, technology planning and insertion; as well as performance assessments, and/or market research.
