Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited program in Remote Sensing, Astronomy, Physics, Mathematics, Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cloud Computing, or a related technical discipline
- 12 or more years of experience in software development and software architecture
- Familiarity with modern toolchains and software virtualization, including containers and virtual machines
- Proficient in agile software development methodologies
- Experience with Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) architectures
- Knowledge of cloud technologies
- Proven leadership in managing matrixed technical teams
- Substantial experience with Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition processes
- Ability to identify and analyze risk areas and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve issues efficiently
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally approximately 10%
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance from the US government.
Responsibilities
- Act as a subject matter expert in software development, collaborating with government entities and other research organizations supporting the Ground Based Radar Digitization program
- Oversee multi-phase projects to introduce new radar capabilities for the Space Domain Awareness mission
- Analyze contractor software architecture at all levels to identify deficiencies and assess risk and efficiency
- Lead software integration initiatives for third-party systems and platforms
- Navigate new requirements through the programs Agile process
- Evaluate and understand data architecture
- Initiate collaboration with Aerospace Engineering Technology teams and lead analysis in requirements development, risk assessment, and sensor performance
- Serve as a liaison and senior mentor to government clients concerning software architecture and development strategy for new radar capabilities.
