Requirements

Must:
- B.S. degree in a relevant Engineering discipline (Aerospace, Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, etc.), Computer Science, or a related technical field. - Over 12 years of experience in three or more systems engineering functional areas (e.g., requirements, architecture, design) with a minimum of 5 years in MBSE and DE. - Proficiency in MBSE tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler, Sparx EA, or IBM Rhapsody. - Strong knowledge of descriptive modeling languages (e.g., SysML, UAFML, BPMN), architecture frameworks (e.g., DoDAF, UAF, TOGAF), and methodologies (e.g., OOSEM, SysMOD, ISE&PPOOA). - Self-driven individual with exceptional problem-solving, communication (verbal and written), and leadership skills in project portfolio management. - Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with various government, SETA, and FFRDC teams. - Capacity to clearly articulate project outcomes and deliverables to stakeholders unfamiliar with MBSE. - Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills. - Capability to coordinate activities and collaborate with internal and external organizations. - Adaptability to changing needs in program office sponsor and customer requirements. - Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and innovation. - Must hold a current and active TS/SCI clearance issued by the U.S. government, requiring U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

- Plan, execute, and lead MBSE and DE R&D initiatives and projects, ensuring the integration of systems engineering best practices. - Oversee project teams developing descriptive models with open-standard modeling languages (SysML, UAFML, BPMN) and industry-standard tools (e.g., Cameo, Sparx EA, Rhapsody). - Guide project teams through the complete system development lifecycle, from concept to deployment. - Encourage innovation and best practices in MBSE, ensuring alignment with industry trends and the goals of our organization and clients. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including software, hardware, and domain specialists, to develop and analyze system models during the acquisition and realization lifecycle. - Create, publish, and present documentation, papers, and training materials on MBSE topics of interest to both Aerospace and its clients. - Engage in MBSE and DE-related standards organizations and professional society working groups (e.g., OMG, INCOSE, Digital Twin Consortium, AIAA, IEEE), representing Aerospaces interests. - Mentor and provide education to junior and mid-level engineers on MBSE principles, practices, and tools.
