Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering, Astrodynamics, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field
- 3+ years of experience in aerospace engineering or operational roles for Senior Member of Technical Staff; 6+ years for Project Engineer
- Proficient in MATLAB, SQL, and Linux command-line environments
- Familiarity with aerospace engineering tools such as STK, GMAT, or equivalent mission analysis software
- Experience in processing sensor data, telemetry, and extensive aerospace datasets
- Skilled in version control using Git/GitHub and database querying
- Willingness to travel approximately 10-15%
- Current and active TS/SBI/SCI security clearance required, with U.S. citizenship necessary to obtain clearance.
- For Project Engineer role, knowledge of orbital mechanics, spacecraft attitude control, or astrodynamics is essential
- Experience with space situational awareness or space traffic management systems and understanding spacecraft subsystems is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction to a team focused on spacecraft operations, sensor network monitoring, and mission simulation tasks with limited oversight
- Support the design, implementation, and upkeep of scheduling tools, operational databases, and execution of satellite tracking campaigns
- Independently assess, select, and apply engineering techniques and procedures using professional judgment
- Lead the integration of multi-sensor data and contribute to technical reports, research documentation, and customer presentations
- Prepare detailed technical documentation such as SOPs, CONOPS, user manuals, and operational readiness evaluations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operational staff, research scientists, and engineers
- Manage project elements, including planning, milestone tracking, and reporting progress to stakeholders
- Regularly interface with customers regarding technical matters of importance.
