Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of four years of experience in enterprise Linux system administration, covering configuration, troubleshooting, and security hardening in enterprise contexts
- Proficiency in implementing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools like Puppet, Ansible, Bash, Terraform, and Python
- Familiarity with automated system management and configuration using IaC
- Experience with Git repositories and understanding software development workflows
- Knowledge of automated provisioning tools such as Kickstart, Terraform, Stacki, or Cobbler
- Strong ownership mindset, customer focus, and integrity
- TS/SCI clearance; U.S. citizenship is required for security clearance
- For Site Reliability Engineer Staff IV: minimum of seven years of Linux system experience, proven leadership in cross-functional teams, and experience mentoring peers
Responsibilities
- Develop IaC automation to enhance the efficiency and standardization of secure and hardened Linux systems in various enterprise and standalone environments
- Implement user-friendly solutions that facilitate automation for those with limited coding experience
- Formulate strategies to boost adoption of IaC practices among administrators
- Create and refine the IaC codebase for Linux systems, focusing on security compliance and automation tasks
- Oversee automated provisioning and configuration management of Linux systems
- Manage and maintain common software tools, agents, and configuration settings
- Coordinate and test the rollout of software updates and configurations
- Supervise enterprise-scale Linux services and infrastructure management
- Lead upgrades to IaC infrastructure, including both servers and agents
