Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors or advanced degree from an accredited program in computer science, aerospace engineering, physics, mathematics, or a related discipline. - A minimum of ten years of experience in software engineering, collaborative development, numerical methods, or physics-based modeling. - Expertise in C/C++ and familiarity with scripting languages such as MATLAB and Python. - Experience using version control systems, especially git. - Knowledge of distributed frameworks, API development, and cloud technologies. - Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team while managing multiple tasks simultaneously. - A strong work ethic, self-motivation, and eagerness to take initiative. - Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities. - Willingness to travel occasionally as business needs arise. - Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance, requiring U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

- Collaborate with leading engineers and scientists to create maintainable, high-performance applications and modeling & simulation capabilities. - Work alongside analysts to implement timely software enhancements and functionalities that align with rapid analysis demands. - Engage with different departments to spearhead the integration of both new and existing capabilities. - Prepare and deliver technical presentations to program offices and stakeholders. - Draft documentation and guidelines for the effective utilization of modeling & simulation tools by analysts and clients. - Mentor junior personnel on technical skills and professional development, fostering a supportive learning environment where ideas and feedback are valued.
