Requirements

Must:
- Masters degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field (pursuing or conferred within last 12 months) - 0-1 year of experience in the industry - Background in aerospace systems, flight software development, modeling, and simulation, or a related engineering field - Experience providing technical assistance in complex environments with clients, program offices, engineering support, and contractors - Relevant project experience in dynamics, control systems, control algorithm design, or modeling & simulation - Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C/C++ - Familiarity with version control systems and Linux/Unix operating environments - Understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices - Willingness to travel domestically to customer sites, launch facilities, or test locations approximately 10% as required - Capability to obtain and maintain a security clearance issued by the U.S. government; U.S. citizenship is necessary for clearance - Required transcripts

Responsibilities

- Conduct tests and analyze software systems integrated within launch vehicles, spacecraft, CubeSats, and other mission-critical space system components. - Engage in the creation and upkeep of simulations to assist in software validation, resolve on-orbit discrepancies, and ensure mission assurance activities on the day of launch. - Devise models for space system components such as sensors, actuators, and vehicle dynamics for applications including software-in-the-loop, hardware-in-the-loop, and emulator-based simulators. - Create tools and methodologies aimed at enhancing analysis and simulation capabilities. - Adhere to software and system best practices to support ongoing projects, collaborate effectively with team members, and deliver high-quality products and reviews to clients. - Be adaptable to changes in duties, responsibilities, and activities as they may arise.
