Requirements
Must:
- A bachelors degree or equivalent certification in a relevant field and at least 5 years of experience in a related area.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering along with 2-5 years of pertinent experience.
- Strong proficiency in C programming with hands-on experience within the past 2 years.
- Skilled in developing and debugging C in a Linux setting.
- Robust experience in Python development within the last 2 years.
- Ability to translate system requirements into software specifications and establish traceability.
- Experience in creating software to integrate government-furnished equipment and contractor-supplied modules.
- Knowledge in performing software interface analysis, integration testing, and verification.
- Familiarity with integrated development environment (IDE) tools and web-based collaboration platforms.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and client-facing abilities.
- Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team, adhering to agile software development methodologies.
- Experience with software and system configuration management.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to NASAs deep space exploration initiatives by developing, integrating, and validating spacecraft software applied across vehicle systems.
- Break down system-level requirements into software specifications as well as build and test C-based interfaces between government-furnished equipment and contractor-supplied modules.
- Ensure software functionality through thorough verification and comprehensive documentation.
- Act as a software subject matter expert within an integrated product team, aiding the complete software development lifecycle and supporting mission-critical testing for human-rated spaceflight systems.
