Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field; masters degree preferred
- Minimum 10 years of experience in systems engineering, with 5+ years applying Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) in complex aerospace projects
- Proven track record in ground systems, human spaceflight, or crewed spacecraft programs (NASA or commercial)
- Expert knowledge of SysML and MBSE tools (Cameo/MagicDraw preferred)
- Strong grasp of systems engineering processes (NASA NPR 7123.1, MIL-STD-499C, INCOSE SE Handbook)
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and produce high-quality documentation
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- INCOSE CSEP or ESEP certification is a plus
- Familiarity with requirements management tools like DOORS or JAMA
- Experience with NASA human-rating standards and digital engineering frameworks
Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and analysis of system architecture utilizing MBSE methodologies and tools
- Define, manage, and validate requirements, interfaces, and verification methods for human spaceflight systems
- Develop and maintain SysML models to support design, trade studies, and mission assurance
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with NASA and industry standards
- Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, and customer presentations
- Mentor junior systems engineers in MBSE practices and systems engineering standards
- Support risk management, configuration management, and requirements traceability during the project lifecycle
- Coordinate system-level design integration with NASA, commercial partners, and subcontractors
