Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in an IT-related field
- Minimum of 15 years in IT experience
- Expertise in managing databases such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL
- Proficient in installation, patching, and upgrading database systems
- Experienced in backup and recovery processes using RMAN and data pump
- Skills in performance tuning and optimization of databases
- Familiarity with Oracle Net configuration and Oracle Client Support
- Ability to communicate ideas clearly in both written and verbal forms
- Must be dependable and punctual with a commitment to safety standards
- Willingness to travel as required for job duties
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage various database systems including Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL
- Execute installation, patching, and upgrades of database systems
- Perform backup and recovery of databases using RMAN and data pump techniques
- Conduct performance tuning and optimization of databases
- Configure Oracle Net and provide support for Oracle Client
- Ensure all tasks are executed in compliance with NASA and company safety protocols
- Travel to different areas on-site as needed
- Maintain a positive and professional relationship with colleagues and clients
