Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field with 15 years of experience in an IT specialization.
- Experience with Linux/Unix/Windows system administration.
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, and Bash for task automation.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Capability to work effectively in a collaborative team setting.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship or Legal Permanent Resident/Green Card holder is required if offered the position.
- Compliance with drug-free workplace requirements mandated by federal directives, including drug testing for employees in sensitive roles.
Responsibilities
- Deploy, monitor, and maintain cybersecurity tools (EDR, SIEM, etc.) across various systems.
- Work with team members and system owners to identify and resolve technical issues proactively, enhancing system security.
- Troubleshoot and rectify issues related to the performance, accuracy, and availability of cybersecurity tools.
- Ensure systems are fortified and compliant with cybersecurity standards.
- Conduct periodic upgrades and patches to systems between critical operations.
- Utilize vulnerability scanning tools like Tenable Nessus to analyze scan results and prioritize remediation efforts based on assessed risks.
- Serve as the main escalation point for technical challenges faced by system administrators.
- Define, document, and adhere to standards and best practices for system design, testing, and implementation.
