Requirements
Must:
- 10–15+ years of professional software engineering experience, including senior technical roles
- Extensive expertise in Python with significant production experience using Django and/or FastAPI
- Strong full-stack capabilities with React and Next.js
- Proven ability to design and scale complex, distributed systems
- Advanced knowledge of RESTful APIs, asynchronous processing, and service-oriented architectures
- Significant experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and ORM-based data modeling
- Hands-on experience integrating AI/ML features into real-world production systems
- Strong understanding of software architecture patterns, testing methodologies, and system scalability
- Comfortable thriving in fast-paced startup settings with high ownership and ambiguity
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable backend services using Python, Django, and FastAPI
- Contribute to and guide the creation of modern front-end applications utilizing React and Next.js
- Produce clean, maintainable, and thoroughly tested production code
- Troubleshoot and resolve intricate system, performance, and reliability challenges
- Design and optimize data models leveraging Django ORM / SQLAlchemy
- Architect and maintain solutions using PostgreSQL and MongoDB
- Integrate AI/ML models into production workflows that support probabilistic reasoning, inference, and decision-making logic
- Create APIs that facilitate intelligent workflows, embeddings, and model-driven functionalities
- Provide technical mentorship to both senior and mid-level engineers
- Collaborate with Product and clinical stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Work closely with DevOps to ensure reliable deployments, observability, and compliance readiness
