Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 3 years of practical EDI experience in a business or technical analyst capacity
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Strong understanding of EDI standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and communication protocols (AS2, SFTP, FTP, VAN)
- Experience with EDI mapping and translation tools
- Proficient in SQL, with a preference for PostgreSQL
- Familiarity with WMS/ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Infor)
- Knowledge of APIs or hybrid EDI/API integrations
- At least 2 years of experience in front-end and back-end web development (HTML, CSS, PHP, SQL)
- Basic knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Shell); proficiency in Python/JavaScript is advantageous
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication abilities and a collaborative approach
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
- High attention to detail and a strong commitment to data integrity
- A proactive, team-focused attitude with a solutions-oriented approach
- Experience in 3PL, project management, or business analysis is a plus
Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, and implement EDI solutions that align with business processes and trading partner needs
- Create, maintain, and document EDI maps, configurations, and workflow processes
- Monitor daily EDI transactions (e.g., 850, 810, 856, 940, 997) and address any errors or processing failures
- Diagnose EDI issues and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders for resolutions
- Act as a bridge between business units, IT, and partners to ensure efficient EDI operations
- Assist in the onboarding of new trading partners while managing existing integrations
- Ensure adherence to EDI standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT, HIPAA where applicable)
- Provide Tier II support for EDI-related issues and queries
- Facilitate system integrations, ERP updates, and digital transformation efforts
- Engage in on-call support for critical EDI operations as necessary
