Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Metallurgy, Material Science, Electrical Engineering, or IT Information Systems focus) required
- At least 5 years of experience with product quality management tools and/or measurement devices
- Proficient in SQL Database management
- Experienced in C++ programming
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint) and Power BI
- General familiarity with hardware and software, including Windows OS
- Experience with ASIS or automation administration
- Solid understanding of inline automated measurement tools and related signals
- Knowledge of steel processes, defects, and defect origins
Responsibilities
- Train and develop Automated Surface Inspection Systems (ASIS) for the NOES mill
- Ensure successful startup of ASIS for effective detection and classification of surface defects
- Utilize application tools and/or develop code to improve inspection accuracy
- Troubleshoot issues and collaborate with site resources for resolution, including hardware replacement as needed
- Conduct daily system tuning and preventive maintenance
- Coordinate with Quality, R&D, and Operations teams regarding defect/material changes and adjustments
