Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in Financial Services Risk Management, Audit, IT/IS Operations, Data Privacy, or similar roles.
- Professional background in information security, cybersecurity, or IT risk management.
- Hands-on experience with security monitoring, access management, incident response, and vulnerability management tools.
- In-depth knowledge of network security, operating system security, and common cybersecurity principles tied to local IT/IS regulatory frameworks, such as Part 500.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient negotiation skills with the capacity to explain intricate technical concepts to non-technical audiences, including Head Office IT/IS Departments.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent are preferred.
- Proficiency in English and Mandarin Chinese, both spoken and written.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive cybersecurity strategies in accordance with industry standards.
- Lead organization-wide IT governance initiatives, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and relevant standards.
- Oversee IT infrastructure, including distributed systems, firewalls, and network architecture (WAN, LAN).
- Supervise the design and implementation of secure application development practices using established frameworks.
- Direct business continuity planning and disaster recovery efforts to protect critical data and operations.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic planning, budgeting, and resource allocation for cybersecurity initiatives.
- Manage teams responsible for operational security.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, vulnerability management, and incident response planning to address potential threats.
- Stay updated on new technologies, including advancements in cybersecurity tools, to bolster our organizations defenses.
- Negotiate vendor contracts for cybersecurity solutions, cloud services, and hardware procurement to ensure maximum value and compliance.
