Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline preferred. - Demonstrated experience in CMM programming and operation in a manufacturing or precision engineering setting. - Proficient in metrology software such as PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar tools. - Strong understanding of metrology practices, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and statistical analysis techniques. - Familiarity with CAD/CAM software for inspection tasks. - Excellent problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail. - Strong communication skills with a collaborative mindset across different teams. - Ability to work independently and manage tasks in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

- Create CMM programs utilizing metrology software like PC-DMIS, Calypso, or comparable applications. - Analyze engineering drawings, CAD models, and specifications to develop accurate measurement programs. - Enhance programs for streamlined inspection processes while maintaining precision and reproducibility. - Perform dimensional inspections on parts, assemblies, and components using various inspection devices. - Set up fixtures, probes, and measurement instruments based on inspection criteria. - Carry out measurement routines to accurately capture geometric features and adherence to tolerances. - Review measurement data to assess compliance with engineering specifications and quality benchmarks. - Produce detailed inspection reports outlining measurement outcomes and variances. - Work closely with engineering and production teams to resolve non-conformities and execute corrective measures. - Conduct routine maintenance and calibration of CMM machines to uphold accuracy and reliability. - Keep thorough records of measurement programs, inspection results, and maintenance activities. - Identify areas for process enhancement and suggest improvements to measurement procedures. - Comply with quality management systems and industry regulations (ISO 9001). - Abide by all employment and safety policies mandated by law or established by the company. - Consistently wear required Personal Protective Equipment as instructed by the company. - Exhibit complete understanding of firearms safety protocols. - Maintain cleanliness in the workstation and department area. - Display a positive attitude towards colleagues, other departments, and the company. - Communicate effectively with colleagues and management. - Actively engage in the 5S process within the work area on a daily basis. - Undertake additional tasks as assigned when necessary.

The role is essential in ensuring the precise measurement of parts and components within our manufacturing environment. We offer a competitive pay range of $35 to $40 per hour, along with a collaborative workplace culture. Our facility boasts a climate-controlled office environment complemented by a heated manufacturing area.
