Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in CMM programming and operation within a manufacturing or precision engineering setting.
- Strong proficiency in metrology software such as PC-DMIS or Calypso.
- Expert knowledge of metrology, geometric dimensions and tolerancing (GD&T), and statistical analysis methods.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software for model-based inspections.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate across various teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Create CMM programs utilizing metrology software like PC-DMIS or Calypso.
- Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and specifications to develop measurement programs.
- Enhance program efficiency for inspection processes while maintaining accuracy and consistency.
- Perform dimensional inspections of parts, assemblies, and components using diverse inspection tools.
- Set up fixtures, probes, and measurement tools in accordance with inspection standards.
- Execute measurement procedures to accurately capture geometric features and tolerances.
- Assess measurement data for compliance with engineering specifications and quality benchmarks.
- Compile detailed inspection reports that outline measurement outcomes and discrepancies.
- Work collaboratively with engineering and production teams to resolve non-conformities and implement corrective measures.
- Conduct routine maintenance and calibration of CMM machines to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Maintain comprehensive records of measurement programs, inspection results, and equipment maintenance activities.
- Identify and recommend opportunities for enhancing measurement processes.
- Comply with quality management systems and industry standards (ISO 9001).
- Abide by all employment policies, safety practices, and procedures mandated by the company.
- Wear prescribed Personal Protective Equipment as required by the company.
- Exhibit complete understanding of firearms safety protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstation and departmental areas.
- Show a positive attitude towards colleagues, other departments, and the company.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and management.
- Actively engage and support the 5S methodology in the workplace daily.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Description
We are seeking a dedicated CMM Programmer to join our skilled team, where you will operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machines to ensure precise measurements of parts and components. We offer a competitive pay scale of $35 to $40 per hour, with working hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
