Requirements
Must:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in healthcare administration, financial services, insurance customer service, claims, billing, call center, or management across any industry
- Familiarity with payer guidelines and clinical documentation
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Capability to analyze data and troubleshoot workflow issues
- Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial health plan processes preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist the operations team with training and process understanding regarding AdaptHealth practices
- Support ongoing process improvement initiatives impacting workflow, including verification and data analysis
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products and services offered by the company
- Review documentation to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Process, verify, and submit necessary documentation accurately
- Conduct insurance verification to determine patients coverage and eligibility
- Handle pre-authorizations and process physician orders for insurance follow-up as needed
- Utilize online EMR systems to gather essential documentation
- Input and assess relevant information in EMR, including authorization details
- Meet quality assurance standards and key performance indicators
- Collaborate with the operations team to address workflow issues
- Communicate ongoing trends in process errors with leadership
- Participate in projects to refine operational procedures and best practices
- Create and assist in training materials for client engagement and service teams
- Ensure patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Complete required compliance training and educational programs
- Perform additional duties as assigned
