Requirements
Must:
- 4–8 years of manual testing experience with web applications (e-commerce preferred)
- Strong test design skills (boundary/value, state-based, scenario/flow testing)
- Hands-on experience with payments, taxes/shipping rules, promotions/coupons, and order lifecycle
- Practical knowledge of API awareness (request/response validation), basic SQL, and Chrome DevTools
- Experience with cross-browser/device testing (BrowserStack or equivalent)
- Ability to report defects clearly and concisely; calm under pressure; collaborative mindset
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps and agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
- Bonus: Experience with accessibility testing tools, basic Postman collections, and light scripting for data setup
Responsibilities
- Plan, write, and execute test cases for web features (catalog, search, cart, checkout, payments, promotions, order tracking, etc.)
- Conduct exploratory sessions to identify edge cases (e.g., multi-item carts, mixed tax rules, split shipments, coupon stacking, out-of-stock situations)
- Validate data end-to-end (UI ↔ API ↔ DB) using basic SQL and REST clients
- Test across various browsers/devices (e.g., BrowserStack); log clear, reproducible defects with impact and steps
- Manage regression planning for sprints/releases; triage issues in collaboration with Product, Design, and Engineering teams
- Verify accessibility basics (WCAG-aligned checks), usability, and responsive behavior
- Utilize Chrome DevTools for network/console checks; capture HARs and screenshots/videos
- Participate in story grooming, define acceptance criteria, and assess release readiness
- Maintain streamlined test documentation and contribute to a risk-based testing strategy
