Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field - Minimum of 2 years of practical experience with Commvault configuration, policy creation, troubleshooting, restores, and cloud integration using Commvault HSX technology - At least 2 years of hands-on experience with IBM storage systems and Fibre Channel SAN (including switching, zoning, and fabric management) - Strong understanding of enterprise backup methodologies, replication techniques, and disaster recovery strategies - Familiarity with storage support in VMware, Linux, AIX, and Windows systems - Proficient analytical, diagnostic, and performance optimization abilities - Relevant certifications (e.g. Commvault, Brocade, IBM Storage) are preferred - Experience with automation and scripting for storage management tasks is advantageous - Knowledge of storage-related cybersecurity measures, immutable snapshots, and secure backup processes is a plus - Understanding of cloud storage integration is preferred - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences - Takes ownership and accountability, proactively addressing issues and fulfilling commitments - Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple responsibilities - Maintains composure and effectiveness during incidents or outages, communicating clearly under pressure - Strong problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to resolving complex issues - Capable vendor management and negotiation skills

Responsibilities

- Oversee, enhance, and resolve issues within Commvault backup ecosystems, including management of Commvault HyperScale (HSX) appliances to maintain data integrity, availability, and recoverability - Design, deploy, and manage enterprise storage solutions across Brocade and IBM SAN platforms that support critical business systems - Assist in developing business continuity and disaster recovery plans, including replication processes, failover tests, and recovery procedures - Plan and execute storage refreshes, migrations, and upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption - Conduct advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for intricate storage and SAN-related challenges - Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including server, database, cloud, and security engineering members - Assess new technologies, manage vendor relationships, and participate in cost optimization efforts - Ensure compliance with security protocols, best practices, and resilience standards
