Requirements
Must:
- Degree in Computer Science or Electronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Over 10 years of demonstrable experience in Core Backend Software Development
- Proven leadership skills
- Strong algorithmic and problem-solving capabilities
- Proficiency in converting business use cases to technical solutions
- Quick learner with a driven, creative, and self-motivated attitude
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Can-do approach with a strategic mindset
- Experience with CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins or GitLab
- Familiarity with Performance Optimizations and JVM Profiling
- Experience mentoring junior developers
- Background in Level 3 production support
- Extensive hands-on skill in Core Java and deep understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms
- Expertise in relational databases like Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL
- Competence in DevOps practices (CI/CD) and tools
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with Microservices architecture and REST APIs
- Understanding of Multi-threading and Concurrency
- Experience in financial services is a plus
- Experience working with Highly Distributed and Data Intensive systems
- Former Scrum Master experience is beneficial
- Proficiency in Python and its libraries/frameworks
- Familiar with technologies like In-Memory caching, Spring Boot, Redis, Apache Kafka, and BDD Testing frameworks like Cucumber, Jbehave, or Karate
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of Core Java applications
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to team members
- Collaborate on cloud solutions using AWS or Azure
- Design and implement scalable microservices
- Oversee the usage of CI/CD practices in the development process
- Conduct performance optimization and JVM profiling
- Mentor junior developers to enhance their skills
- Manage Level 3 production support issues
- Convert business requirements into effective technical solutions
- Participate in scrum meetings as a Scrum Master when needed
- Facilitate code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices
- Stay current with emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions
- Conduct testing using BDD frameworks to ensure quality deliverables
