Requirements
Must:

- Competence in conducting thermal and vibration testing using oscilloscopes
- Ability to analyze component test results and provide actionable insights
- Previous involvement in customer support or project engineering
- Willingness to travel for business as needed
Responsibilities
- Conduct open box troubleshooting of circuit boards to diagnose non-functioning components
- Execute thermal and vibration tests while monitoring electronic units with an oscilloscope
- Prepare and submit Engineering Investigation Reports/FARs to GAC through the SEM system
- Develop testing procedures for both current and new product line issues
- Collaborate with Project Engineers to facilitate technical discussions with clients and prioritize urgent FARs to mitigate Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situations
- Engage with GAR engineers to review findings and status updates of ongoing investigations
- Access and interpret data from the R-Card to analyze test findings and observations
- Submit laboratory evaluation requests to the Materials and Processes lab and interpret results for hydraulic components
- Collect and organize all findings from component tests and lab analyses
- Offer detailed test instructions to assembly and testing teams in both Ogden and Dublin
- Generate FARs in the approved format to correlate findings with aircraft-level faults
- Assess whether failure modes are atypical and require monitoring trends
Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Electrical Test Engineer or Electrical Test Technician to join our team in Irvine, CA. This position is onsite only and suitable for U.S. Citizens. We require expertise in the Avionics, Aviation, and Aerospace fields and candidates must be qualified graduate engineers. As part of our customer support engineering division, you will engage in hands-on troubleshooting and lab analysis, contributing to ensuring the reliability and safety of our products. Our work environment fosters collaboration and innovation, and we are committed to providing opportunities for professional development. Regular business travel may be necessary when coordinating with our teams in Savannah, Ogden, or Dublin.
