Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science focused field
- 5-10+ years of experience in Embedded Software Development throughout the entire life cycle
- Strong expertise in Embedded RTOS such as VxWorks, Linux, Integrity, and Deos
- Proficient in programming languages C and C++
- Experience with assembly language
- Familiarity with SW verification and certification processes
- Knowledge of DO-178 B/C standards
- Proven ability to lead and manage large software development teams
- Understanding of software configuration and change management practices
- Excellent communication skills and innovative thinking
- Self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently and take initiative
- Strong analytical and software development capabilities
- Project management and leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and balance organizational demands
Responsibilities
- Develop low-level software for board support packages, including RTOS integration and device driver development
- Debug hardware and software in the development of aerospace electronic systems
- Support application-level engineering for products like guidance and navigation systems, and engine controllers
- Collaborate with the team to bring up electronics hardware while supplying low-level software for product COEs
- Engage in the design, development, and integration of complex software functions in the aerospace sector
- Lead project teams, providing technical oversight across various programs
- Create innovative solutions to tackle challenges and capitalize on opportunities
- Communicate and collaborate with internal and external customers, vendors, and suppliers throughout project lifecycles
- Drive initiatives aimed at standardizing processes and enhancing team productivity
- Conduct requirements definition, software architecture design, and coding integration testing
- Provide customer support and oversee verification and validation efforts
