Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- At least 10 years of experience in data engineering or a similar field.
- Proficient in Python programming, especially in data manipulation and ETL processes.
- Strong understanding of MongoDB with experience in designing and managing databases.
- Familiarity with Power BI for generating reports and visualizations.
- Experience in developing data extracts and feeds for business applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with an emphasis on delivering high-quality data solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effectively conveying technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Craft efficient and scalable Python code to extract and transform data from various sources, keeping downstream system requirements in mind.
- Utilize MongoDB for data management, optimizing data models and queries to enhance performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to present data in a format conducive to reporting and visualization in Power BI, ensuring alignment with business needs.
- Create and sustain data feeds for downstream systems, such as Ledger and Boudreaux, guaranteeing timely and precise data delivery.
- Work closely with business analysts and other stakeholders to capture data definitions and requirements, converting them into technical specifications.
- Maintain thorough documentation of data pipelines, data models, and technical specifications to foster knowledge sharing and compliance.
- Implement validation and quality checks to confirm the accuracy and integrity of delivered data.
