Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Over 10 years of overall experience in business analysis and DevOps
- Proficiency in Python for automation and scripting
- Expertise in YAML for pipeline and configuration management
- Strong skills in GIT administration and source control governance
- Experience with CI/CD automation and release engineering
- Proficient in SQL development and SQL administration
- Familiarity with government or public-sector systems
- Exposure to tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar
- Understanding of legacy modernization initiatives
- Knowledge of security, compliance, and operational standards
- Experience in COBOL application support
- Skills in installing and configuring Enterprise Developer (Micro Focus)
- Competence in RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) administration
- Experience with Windows Server environments
- Strong troubleshooting and documentation abilities
Responsibilities
- Gather and evaluate business and technical requirements to create deployment and automation strategies
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines utilizing Python and YAML
- Manage enterprise GIT repositories, overseeing access control, branching, versioning, and governance
- Conduct SQL development and administration tasks, including query optimization and performance tuning
- Install, configure, and provide support for Enterprise Developer (Micro Focus) environments
- Integrate COBOL applications within automated delivery pipelines
- Operate in RHEL and Windows environments to supervise deployments and automation
- Troubleshoot issues related to deployment, source control, databases, operating systems, and applications across environments
- Document processes, standards, and operational procedures effectively
- Collaborate with DBA, infrastructure, and application teams to maintain system stability and ensure compliance
