Requirements
Must:
- I require you to hold active ACE/PCNSA/PCNSE certifications.
- Having CCNA/CCNP/CCIE certifications is a significant advantage.
- You should have a minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in designing, supporting, administering, and managing Palo Alto Networks Firewalls and infrastructure.
- Your experience should include end-to-end infrastructure projects, such as data center buildouts, hardware deployments, network setups, upgrades, and migrations.
- Proven expertise with Palo Alto firewalls (PAN-OS) and hands-on experience with Checkpoint, Cisco ASA, and Fortinet is essential.
- A strong understanding of Tufin for orchestration, including Network ACL management and policy automation, is necessary.
- Familiarity with API-driven policy changes and compliance/testing tools like TOS Aura would be beneficial.
- Documenting technical work using collaboration tools like Wiki and JIRA is a must.
- You must be willing to commit to a 4-6 week onsite engagement in Newtown Square, PA (a travel stipend/per diem will be provided).
- Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls – Panorama is required.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, engineering, or a related field is expected.
- You should demonstrate clear and effective oral and written communication skills.
- A strong customer-centric mindset, along with the desire to collaborate and continually learn and improve, is crucial.
- Upholding a high level of ethics and core values in all duties is non-negotiable.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Network Security Consultant with us (focusing on Palo Alto Networks/CheckPoint), you will:
- Administer and enhance firewalls, primarily concentrating on integrating Palo Alto Networks and Checkpoint.
- Utilize Tufin for managing Network ACLs and implement Security Orchestrator to optimize policy enforcement across hybrid and cloud environments.
- Execute API-based policy modifications and use TOS Aura for simulation and testing to ensure secure and effective configurations.
- Conduct comprehensive security assessments, audits, and improvements for access controls (ACLs) within cloud infrastructures (familiarity with AWS, Azure, and GCP is a plus).
- Document your processes, findings, and recommendations through Wiki and JIRA to facilitate smooth knowledge transfer and client reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during the onsite onboarding phase to align on deliverables and address real-time challenges.

We are currently in search of a skilled Senior Network Security Consultant with expertise in firewall administration and security orchestration. This is a hands-on contract role lasting one year, working full-time (40 hours per week), where you will lead critical cloud infrastructure security initiatives for a major enterprise client. You will commence with an intensive onsite onboarding program in Newtown Square, PA (near Philadelphia) for 4-6 weeks, followed by a transition to flexible remote work. If you are passionate about optimizing Palo Alto firewalls, automating policies with Tufin, and managing complex ACLs, then we invite you to take on this exciting challenge with us. We are open to both W-2 and C2C employment arrangements.
