Requirements
Must:
- BA/BS or higher in Information Security, Risk or IT Management, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in Information Security, IT, Audit, or Consulting.
- Preferred certifications include CISA, CISM, CRISC, CISSP, GSEC, Security+, CPP, or CFE.
- Familiarity with regulatory and industry compliance frameworks such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, EU DPD, HIPAA/HITECH.
- Proven track record of completing successful cross-functional projects and achieving positive compliance outcomes.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, capable of managing multiple assignments concurrently while meeting deadlines.
- Effective time management skills with the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience collaborating in a close-knit team setting and working with peers, clients, and partners to achieve goals.
Responsibilities
- Identify and assess cybersecurity risks related to developed, marketed, and fielded products, focusing on patient safety and data protection.
- Manage a product security program that includes risk assessment, security testing, event handling, metrics, compliance, and education within regulated quality management systems.
- Develop and update product cybersecurity standards and related documentation by analyzing requirements and collaborating with compliance teams.
- Conduct control monitoring activities, including planning, testing controls, and reporting status.
- Align product cybersecurity control frameworks with industry standards and regulatory requirements, creating test plans and communicating with stakeholders.
- Assist in executing product maturity assessments by coordinating internal evaluations and engaging with product teams.
- Provide guidance to junior security professionals when needed.
- Engage in company-wide product security initiatives as required.
- Create and implement project plans, including task breakdowns, dependencies, and communication strategies.
- Prepare and guide internal stakeholders through cybersecurity audits.
- Share product security updates and messaging across the organization, including senior management.
- Offer strategic guidance and lead governance and training initiatives while maintaining effective communication with all employees, customers, and vendors.
- Occasionally perform additional related duties as assigned.
