Requirements
Must:
- Over 15 years of experience in software development and large-scale platform engineering.
- Proven ability to construct and expand enterprise platforms in finance, fintech, or global tech environments.
- Strong proficiency in distributed systems and contemporary software architecture.
- Expertise in cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) within regulated settings.
- Familiarity with API, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
- Experience with platform reliability, observability, and cost management.
- Demonstrated success in delivering production AI and ML systems in regulated scenarios.
- Practical knowledge of machine learning lifecycle management (MLOps), model monitoring, retraining, and GenAI foundational models.
- Proven experience in leading large, globally distributed engineering teams.
- Strong skills in managing relationships with stakeholders across Technology, Risk, Compliance, and Business sectors.
- Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field required.
- Advanced degree (Masters or PhD) in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or Data Science preferred.
- Strong leadership characteristics with a proven track record in managing multidiscipline teams.
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex concepts to executives and influence decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and development of an AI engineering and delivery organization with three essential layers: Platform, Delivery, and Enablement.
- Define and implement a cohesive AI platform strategy that ensures smooth integration across different products, services, and geographical regions.
- Position AI and Generative AI as integral enterprise platforms rather than temporary bespoke solutions.
- Promote API-first and platform-centric architectures that enhance time-to-market and decrease ownership costs.
- Drive alignment in architectural proposals to maximize reuse and standardization of AI and software services.
- Oversee the complete AI strategy by establishing enterprise priorities and facilitating governance related to information design.
- Establish leading delivery practices for AI, software, and data engineering, encompassing discovery, development, testing, automation, validation, observability, and reliability.
- Own the comprehensive AI and data engineering ecosystem, ensuring a secure foundation for platforms, AI/ML systems, and data pipelines.
- Ensure extensive observability throughout data workflows and model outputs, utilizing clear metrics for quality and performance.
- Standardize ML and agent development processes to minimize production time and eliminate custom infrastructures across teams.
- Collaborate with business leaders to cultivate, industrialize, and scale AI and Generative AI functionalities, including ML, agent management, and data science frameworks.
- Guarantee that responsible AI principles are integrated into design and engineering workflows from the outset.
