Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Telecommunications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Over 8 years of progressive experience in Cybersecurity Engineering and Operations, focusing on firewall technologies and remote access solutions (e.g., Zscaler).
- More than 8 years of experience in designing enterprise-scale routing and switching environments, including MPLS/VPN, WLAN, intrusion prevention, and cloud security.
- Extensive network experience in multinational enterprises with over 5,000 users.
- Preferably possess background experience in the healthcare industry.
Preferred Experience:
- Familiarity with Check Point Firewalls.
- Expertise in Zscaler and Palo Alto technologies.
- Experience with Cisco Routers and Switches.
- Knowledge of Cisco/Viptela SD-WAN or similar technologies.
- Proficiency in Cisco ASA.
- Experience with Citrix Netscaler.
- Familiarity with F5 Load Balancer (GTM and LTM).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Multilingual abilities and experience in regulated environments.
- Advanced degree (MS) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Telecommunications.
- Active certifications such as CISSP, CCNP, CCSE, CCIE.
Responsibilities
- Act as the technical subject matter expert and offer consulting support to business units and end-users.
- Lead the discovery, design, approval, and rollout of updates to firewall policies through security compliance councils.
- Collaborate with Abbotts Cybersecurity organization to pinpoint solutions for data loss prevention and enhance network security.
- Develop architecture and hardware specifications for cloud firewall and remote access technologies.
- Oversee large-scale cloud firewall and remote access projects.
- Design extensive enterprise LAN/WLAN environments, including switches, firewalls, and associated network hardware.
- Define requirements to support budgeting efforts and recommend enhancements for performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Evaluate and identify opportunities for improving network performance and functionality.
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and industry best practices.
- Negotiate technical design and deployment strategies with stakeholders and service consumers.
- Execute and support day-to-day service requests.
- Produce and maintain precise engineering documentation.
- Integrate technical expertise with communication, leadership, and business skills within a team environment.
