Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a relevant field.
- 8–10 years of experience in IT, Data, Analytics, or AI/ML within a sizable pharmaceutical, medical device, or healthcare organization.
- Proven experience in leading teams, both directly and indirectly.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a strong capability to collaborate with senior leadership.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with a proactive work style and solid work ethic.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple initiatives.
- Experience in developing IT strategies and fostering business–IT alignment.
- Successful management of project portfolios ranging from $1M to $10M.
- Profound understanding of the software development lifecycle, incorporating security and privacy requirements.
- Experience in managing vendors.
- Ability to collaborate across diverse business functions and promote innovative technology solutions.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with R&D and Digital Health Solutions leaders to comprehend business strategies, processes, and global priorities.
- Transform business needs into concise user and functional specifications.
- Create IT data strategy documents, technology roadmaps, and presentation materials connecting business capabilities with technological possibilities.
- Establish methods to gauge and oversee IT value, outcomes, and ROI.
- Lead initiatives across divisions and pinpoint opportunities for IT synergies and efficiencies.
- Work alongside Corporate IT and suppliers to deliver solutions punctually, within scope, and budget.
- Evaluate Statements of Work to ensure business requirements are clearly articulated and estimates are justifiable.
- Oversee program and project portfolios, including budgets, capital expenditures, and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Provide leadership for personnel, resource planning, and vendor management to enhance organizational effectiveness.
- Promote change, innovation, and continuous improvement within both business and IT teams.
- Proactively identify and address risks, issues, and decisions.
- Cultivate robust relationships within Abbott IT and with external partners while upholding compliance with corporate and divisional policies.
