Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in information security, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or an Associates degree or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in various environments (on-prem/cloud) related to IT or Cybersecurity.
- Fundamental knowledge of cybersecurity risk management concepts, frameworks, and controls (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, or similar).
- Experience in conducting or supporting risk assessments, control evaluations, or security reviews in a corporate or enterprise setting.
- Proven experience in supporting large IT projects/programs.
- Strong analytical abilities to convert technical security concepts into business-relevant risk insights.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of operating across functions and organizational levels.
- Self-driven, detail-focused, and adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Preferred: Established relationships with various IT teams within a global, regulated, or complex organization.
- Preferred: Knowledge of enterprise cybersecurity programs, third-party risk, or cross-functional risk governance.
- Preferred: Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., Security+, CRISC, CISM, or equivalent) are advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments to identify weaknesses, potential threats, and possible impacts on the business, following established methodologies and governance processes.
- Analyze and document cybersecurity risks, control deficiencies, and mitigation strategies, offering clear and actionable recommendations to leadership and business partners.
- Assist in the implementation and continuous execution of strategic, enterprise-level cybersecurity programs in alignment with Abbotts risk management and security objectives.
- Collaborate closely with enterprise cybersecurity leaders, corporate IT, and business stakeholders to promote the maturity of cybersecurity services and ensure consistent application of security measures.
- Help in identifying and addressing cross-divisional cybersecurity risks, fostering a coordinated and comprehensive approach to risk management.
- Contribute to developing, refining, and upholding cybersecurity standards, processes, and reporting documents.
- Support ongoing improvement initiatives by tracking risk remediation efforts and assessing the effectiveness of cybersecurity controls.
