Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline. - Over 8 years of experience in connectivity architecture, ideally within healthcare or regulated sectors. - Proficient in TCP/IP, POCT communication, network diagnostics, and embedded systems. - Established history of addressing complex connectivity challenges in global contexts. - Openness and capability to travel internationally for product assessments and customer assistance. - Familiarity with medical device connectivity standards (e.g., HL7, DICOM, IEEE 11073) is preferred. - Understanding of cybersecurity and data privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR) is an asset. - Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.

Responsibilities

- Design and execute scalable, secure, and resilient connectivity solutions for all CMI products worldwide. - Develop architectural frameworks, technology stacks, and integration patterns for connected medical devices. - Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for QNX OS, embedded systems, and network protocols. - Ensure the connectivity architecture is compliant with enterprise strategies, regulatory standards, and cybersecurity guidelines. - Lead Tier 2/3 support for on-market devices facing connectivity difficulties. - Perform root cause analysis for outstanding product software complaints. - Travel to various CMI locations and customer sites globally to engage in hands-on investigations and troubleshooting. - Work collaboratively with software, hardware, and field support teams to design and implement solutions. - Design and validate system integrations with hospital networks, cloud services, and third-party systems like HL7 and DICOM. - Facilitate seamless communication between APIs, databases, services, and user interfaces. - Identify potential integration challenges and address them early in the development process. - Operate as a technical intermediary among R&D, Quality Assurance, Regulatory, and Field Support groups. - Convert business requirements into technical specifications while ensuring alignment among stakeholders. - Provide mentorship and direction on connectivity best practices and architectural choices. - Oversee the creation of a Connectivity/Software Test Lab to simulate real-world networking conditions. - Develop testing protocols to proactively discover risks and validate software enhancements. - Support regulatory submissions and audits by maintaining thorough connectivity documentation. - Ensure compliance of all connectivity solutions with internal policies and global regulations. - Identify architectural risks and formulate strategies to mitigate them. - Maintain architectural documentation and specifications for both internal and external stakeholders. - Optimize for performance, availability, and scalability from the outset. - Monitor connectivity performance metrics and lead initiatives for continuous improvement. - Document and share lessons learned to contribute to internal knowledge resources.
