Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience managing AIX and Solaris UNIX operating systems in enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of computer networking concepts, including DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, load balancing, and SDLC methodologies.
- Proficiency in scripting languages, such as Bash (Unix shell), Python, or Ruby on Rails, for automation purposes.
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure components like VMware ESXi, Kubernetes, AWS cloud services (EC2, S3), Azure integrations, and virtualization technologies.
- Familiarity with database management systems, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle Database (PL/SQL), Microsoft SQL Server; experience with NoSQL databases is a plus.
- Experience with system security practices such as system hardening, vulnerability management, threat intelligence analysis, and information security protocols.
- Ability to work within Agile environments using tools like Jenkins for CI/CD pipelines; experience with DevOps methodologies is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent communication abilities to collaborate effectively across teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage and enhance AIX and Solaris UNIX operating systems, ensuring optimal availability, performance, and security.
- Develop and implement system hardening measures, vulnerability assessments, and threat intelligence strategies to protect infrastructure.
- Design and execute system architecture solutions tailored to business requirements, including load balancing, virtualization (VMware, ESXi), and cloud security measures.
- Automate routine processes through scripting (Bash, Shell Scripting) and configuration management tools (GPO, Ansible) to boost operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate UNIX systems with enterprise applications such as Salesforce, Pegasystems, and Web services using RESTful APIs and SOAP protocols.
- Perform system troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization to swiftly resolve complex issues.
- Support DevOps practices by implementing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, and other automation tools for seamless integration and deployment.
