Requirements
Must:
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in managing AIX on IBM Power Systems.
- Strong expertise in managing Hardware Management Console (HMC), Logical Volume Manager (LVM), JFS2, Network Installation Manager (NIM), and cluster management through PowerHA.
- Experience with IBM i (AS400) environments.
- Knowledge of IBM storage solutions including Spectrum Virtualize, XIV, and DS8000 series.
- Familiarity with ITIL-aligned service management processes and change control frameworks.
- Preferred: Experience with IBM DataPower or IBM API Connect (training can be provided).
- Preferred: Background in managed services settings.
- Preferred: Interest in advancing into infrastructure architecture and design.
Responsibilities
- Manage AIX and IBM i (AS400) environments on IBM Power hardware, including LPAR provisioning and management using the Hardware Management Console (HMC).
- Execute OS patching, handle firmware lifecycle management, monitor performance, and resolve incidents.
- Provide support for IBM storage solutions (Storwize, XIV, DS Series), including provisioning, replication, snapshot management, and capacity planning.
- Offer operational assistance for IBM DataPower gateway appliances, focusing on service policy configurations, certificate management, and firmware updates.
- Act as the primary contact for all operations related to IBM infrastructure.
- Operate within ITIL-aligned service management frameworks, contribute to change advisory boards, and update operational runbooks.
- Engage in continuous improvement efforts and assist in the advancement of the IBM practice towards architecture and design.

This position offers a unique opportunity to be a subject matter expert in our IBM infrastructure portfolio, ensuring ongoing support and maintenance across various IBM technologies. As part of our team, you will take ownership of an extensive technology stack and have the chance to grow into an architecture and design role as our practice evolves. We offer competitive pay ranging from $80.00 to $105.00 per hour, alongside a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k), health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as paid time off.
