Requirements
Must:
- Strong technical support abilities with proficiency in diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues
- Expertise in managing computer systems, particularly in the Windows environment
- Solid understanding of networking principles, including LAN configuration, VPN management, firewall setup, and security protocols
- Experience troubleshooting software applications, including the Microsoft Office suite and various common enterprise tools
- Familiarity with IT help desk ticketing systems
- Knowledge of computer hardware components and maintenance for desktops and laptops
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of explaining technical information to non-technical users
- Capability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while juggling multiple tasks
Responsibilities
- Provide timely and effective technical assistance to end-users regarding hardware, software, operating systems, and network challenges
- Oversee computer systems, including the setup, configuration, updates, and upkeep of desktops, laptops, and associated peripherals
- Resolve software issues across various platforms such as Windows, macOS, and Linux to minimize downtime
- Help with networking tasks, including LAN setup, VPN configuration, and implementing firewall security measures
- Assist in IT infrastructure management by monitoring servers, switches, routers, and other networking equipment
- Utilize help desk tools like ServiceNow, Jira, and BMC Remedy to log incidents, monitor progress, and document resolutions effectively
- Facilitate the installation of new equipment and applications
- Deliver outstanding customer service by effectively communicating with users and resolving issues swiftly to enhance productivity
