Requirements
Must:
- Experience with operating systems including Windows Server and Linux (Red Hat), focusing on maintenance, upgrades, security patching, and IAVA compliance.
- Knowledge of scripting and programming languages such as Perl, Java, and Python.
- Capability to comprehend application requirements and optimize operating systems for applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills indicative of the ability to analyze data and administer effective solutions.
- Proficiency in creating documentation to describe and illustrate technical solutions and application installations.
- Familiarity with TLS protocols, cipher configurations, client PKI certificate authentication, and trust stores.
- Experience with STS applications like PingFederate, Oracle OIF, KeyCloak, or Microsoft Active Directory Federation Services.
- Understanding of Active Directory or LDAP and their hierarchical structure design.
- Knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IdAM) protocols, including SAML and OAUTH/OIDC.
- TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required.
- Fourteen years of experience as a Systems Engineer in relevant programs and contracts.
- Bachelors degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, or a related field from an accredited institution; or equivalent experience in place of a degree.
- Compliance with DoD 8570.01-M with at least IAM Level II certification (CASP, CISSP, CAP) is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Support our Public Sector Solutions as a Systems Engineer based in Laurel, MD.
- Work in the office a minimum of five days per week with no relocation options provided.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure effective interagency information sharing and content discovery.
- Maintain and optimize system performance while attending to applications requirements.
- Develop and write detailed technical documentation regarding solutions and installations.
- Analyze and resolve complex technical issues affecting system performance.
- Conduct security assessments and compliance checks to ensure adherence to relevant protocols and standards.
