Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree (B.S.) in a relevant field.
- Over 10 years of experience in network architecture.
- CompTIA Security+ certification.
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification.
- ITIL v4 certification is preferred.
- Experience in designing and maintaining secure network environments for DoD or similar high-security organizations.
- Proficiency in Unified Architecture Framework (UAF) modeling.
- Strong communication skills for conveying technical information to management and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated expertise in assessing and implementing new networking technologies.
- Experience leading technical meetings and managing refresh projects.
- Comprehensive knowledge of network security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Ability to create detailed network documentation and status reports.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities in complex network settings.
Responsibilities
- Design, construct, and sustain network UAF (Unified Architecture Framework) models to support USSTRATCOMs secure network operations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain secure network designs and architectures.
- Stay informed about the latest networking technologies pertinent to USSTRATCOM.
- Provide annual or as-needed briefings to USSTRATCOM management regarding new networking technologies.
- Facilitate monthly technical status meetings, offering updates and recommendations on network performance, reliability, and security.
- Assess new network technologies and tools to enhance performance, reliability, and security.
- Plan, design, and execute technical upgrades and refresh activities, subject to management approval.
- Support ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting of network infrastructure.
- Ensure all network architecture adheres to organizational security protocols and compliance criteria.
- Participate in shift work to maintain continuous 7x24 coverage and cybersecurity support.
