Requirements
Must:
- Must be a US citizen
- Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
- Experience: At least 3 years in professional software development
- Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with Azure cloud services; AWS experience is advantageous
- Programming: Proficient in modern programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, Go, or similar)
- Microservices & Containers: Knowledge of microservices architecture and hands-on experience with Docker, with Kubernetes exposure preferred
- APIs & Integration: Experience developing or utilizing RESTful APIs; knowledge of message queues or event-driven architectures is a plus
- Development Practices: Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and the software development lifecycle
- Testing: Background in writing automated tests and utilizing diverse testing methodologies
- Problem-Solving: Proven ability to debug complex issues and implement efficient solutions
- Security: Awareness of secure coding practices and software security principles
- Collaboration: Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work well in cross-functional teams
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance scalable, efficient, and secure code for web applications and backend services within Azure cloud environments
- Construct reliable systems that handle high loads and mission-critical workloads, emphasizing performance and stability
- Debug and resolve issues in distributed and multi-threaded environments by identifying root causes and applying effective solutions
- Employ microservices through containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and engage with service communication patterns (REST APIs, message queues, event-driven systems)
- Write clean, well-documented, maintainable code that adheres to established coding standards and best practices
- Participate in code reviews, offering and accepting constructive feedback to ensure highest code quality
- Create and implement thorough testing frameworks including unit tests, integration tests, smoke tests, and regression tests
- Evaluate software components for conformity to design specifications and meticulously document test results
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, architecture, senior engineers, and project management to roll out new features and improvements
- Troubleshoot software issues by analyzing challenges, debugging, and integrating necessary fixes
- Engage in architectural discussions and propose ideas for enhancing system designs
- Optimize current applications for better speed, scalability, and efficiency
- Work alongside senior engineers to understand technical specifications and translate them into functional solutions
- Perform additional duties as required
