Senior Platform Engineer - Cloud & DevOps

- Lead the development and automation of DevSecOps pipelines, embedding security controls throughout the software delivery lifecycle - Assist developers in creating, scanning, and validating systems via automated pipeline integration and CI/CD methodologies - Innovate DevSecOps tools and practices to establish efficient automated deployment workflows - Create and document best practices for DevSecOps and ensure team compliance with established guidelines - Set and enforce standards for building, deploying, and monitoring within the organization - Automate the deployment and management of solutions across multiple Azure environments using Terraform and other IaC tools - Guarantee infrastructure consistency and reliability with automated deployment procedures - Partner with Cloud Ops/VDI Teams to maximize cloud resource use, performance, and cost-effectiveness - Design and automate solutions for system availability, failover, and application upgrades - Ensure compliance with security measures and organizational standards through automated validation processes - Embed security controls and automated scans to align with RMF requirements - Collaborate with Cyber/ATO teams for security control implementation and ongoing compliance verification - Keep up-to-date with RMF/DIACAP processes to ensure pipeline adherence - Finalize cybersecurity documentation in line with DoD and USAF policies - Manage security compliance in automated infrastructure management - Oversee container strategies with integrated security using Docker and Azure Kubernetes Services - Implement security scanning and manage vulnerabilities in the container lifecycle - Optimize container orchestration for enhanced security and performance - Support development teams by providing insights on secure containerization and troubleshooting - Maintain cybersecurity performance across infrastructure elements - Collaborate with development teams to create monitoring and reporting tools using Azure Monitor and observability resources - Set security and performance baselines with automated alerts for compliance and operational integrity - Implement monitoring solutions for deployment pipeline health and security compliance - Provide Tier 4 platform support, addressing complex technical challenges and serving as an escalation point - Collaborate in an Agile development setting to safeguard the organizations data, networks, and IT infrastructure - Provide technical mentorship and leadership to platform engineers and development teams - Perform other duties as required
