Requirements
Must:
- Associates degree in a technical field (bachelors degree preferred)
- 4 to 8 years of experience in troubleshooting and repairing complex electromechanical equipment
- Prefer prior experience with vacuum-based equipment
- Desire for experience with Wet Chemistry (Physical Vapor Deposition-PVD) or Plating equipment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Intermediate proficiency with Excel
- Ability to create basic presentations using PowerPoint and provide status updates during meetings
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proficient in English, both spoken and written
- Patience in dealing with non-native English speakers
- Ability to travel internationally and obtain a US Passport and credit card for travel
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Field Service Engineers to address escalations related to installations, repairs, and upgrades
- Communicate with product development engineers to troubleshoot issues and devise solutions that enhance customer satisfaction with ASM NEXX equipment
- Monitor and report on the execution of improvements
- Oversee the status of incoming and returned parts RMAs from customer returns, facilitating warranty claims as needed
- Manage analysis of failures related to non-conforming parts (NCR)
- Draft standard operating procedures for the installation and maintenance of equipment
- Engage in weekly escalation meetings to track performance and drive solutions
- Be prepared for potential international travel, up to 25% of the time
- Handle other related tasks as assigned
