Must:
We are seeking candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering; a Master’s degree is a plus. You should have 8 years of proven experience in large technical software development environments. To thrive in this role, you will need familiarity with tools in our development environment, including Linux (RHEL, CentOS), networking architecture (TCP/IP, UDP), ticketing systems (ServiceNow), monitoring systems (Splunk), application management (Atlassian Stack - JIRA, Confluence, Wiki, Bitbucket), storage (NFS, SMB, CIFS, ZFS, NAS), and scripting languages (Python, Bash, Perl). Familiarity with software developer tools, infrastructure & test environments, CI/CD processes, and version control systems (SVN/Git) is also necessary. Experience with VMware, HP hardware, and the Agile/SAFE methodologies will be beneficial.
Responsibilities
In the role of IT Applications Engineer, I will be responsible for the development, delivery, and performance assurance of applications or software solutions. I will collaborate closely with ASML business stakeholders to incorporate user-defined needs and feedback, optimizing application design and performance. My responsibilities will include supporting software build and development activities, performing remote troubleshooting, and logging all customer requests using the designated call tracking system. I will identify improvement opportunities that enhance system performance and process efficiency for end-users, support engineering requests, and ensure compliance with IT standard processes and service level agreements.
Description
This position is located onsite in San Diego, CA, and may require attendance at in-person work-related events, trainings, and meetings. We offer a flexible workplace arrangement for employees working in roles conducive to remote work (up to two days a week). The role may involve sitting, walking, and manual dexterity tasks regularly, with occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds. Candidates must work in a clean room environment, wearing appropriate safety gear during shifts. ASML is dedicated to diversity and inclusion, ensuring equal opportunity for all candidates. We offer competitive compensation, including a base salary range of $117,000 to $195,000, along with health benefits, 401k participation, paid vacation, and holidays.
