Requirements
Must:
- U.S. Citizenship and an active Secret security clearance
- Bachelors degree in a technical discipline (Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering) or equivalent practical experience
- Demonstrated ability to apply NIST SP 800-53 and NIST SP 800-171/CMMC in a Linux-centric research and development setting
- Proven openness to constructive criticism and experience collaborating with interdisciplinary technical teams
- IAM Level II certification (such as CAP, CASP+ CE, CISM, or CISSP) or the technical capability to achieve it within six months; we support certification endeavors as part of your professional development and our commitment to technical excellence
- Advanced skills in Linux system administration; capable of diagnosing security-related performance issues at the system level
Responsibilities
- Guide dual-track compliance by managing accreditation and lifecycle processes for both Classified Systems (NIST 800-53/RMF) and CUI/Unclassified Systems (NIST 800-171/CMMC)
- Collaborate with software engineers to introduce NIST 800-53 and 800-171 controls as protective measures that ensure compliance while maintaining research momentum
- Create and sustain System Security Plans (SSPs) and relevant security policies and procedures, including Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) and Security Performance Reporting Scores (SPRS), ensuring compliance documentation is precise and audit-ready for DCSA or DCMA
- Spearhead security awareness programs that encourage team members to take ownership of their security responsibilities, viewing it as a collective technical challenge
- Engage in our company culture that promotes open technical discussions, where the most effective idea prevails regardless of rank or position
