Requirements

Must:
-Understanding the requirements and developing E2E test cases on the cloud/backend -microservices. -Strong background in automation using multiple programming languages like Javascript and Typescript -3 to 5 years of Extensive experience in backend API/Microservices automation/testing -Define Test Strategy, System-level test plan, Test automation approach, and benchmarks -Creation of automation scripts using Automation frameworks
Nice to have:
-Experience on gRPC calls testing -Expertise in monitoring Server logs using Kibana, Newrelic, Splunk -Expertise in integrating automated tests with the CI/CD pipeline tools such as Gitlab/Jenkins, contribute to continuous improvement in processes and procedures

Responsibilities

Location: Englewood, CO (On-site. day one-No remote roles available for this position) About the Role: Our Middleware team is currently looking for an experienced Automation Engineer to help us automate testing and release activities of several of our cloud-native backend services for our extremely large and ever-growing customer base. We want to provide functional support to all services on our platform, and the needs are ever-growing, as we adapt to new requirements and capabilities. A successful candidate would be self-driven and excited to learn, test, and deliver distributed software systems. He or she will have a keen technical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and enjoys achieving results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Currently, our primary language used for testing is Typescript, Mocha. While we prefer you to come in with experience, we will train the right candidate Must Have: Understanding the requirements and developing E2E test cases on the cloud/backend -microservices. Strong background in automation using multiple programming languages like Typescript, Python etc Extensive experience in backend API/Microservices automation/testing Ability to define Test Strategy, System-level test plan, Test automation approach, and benchmarks Experience creating automation scripts using Automation frameworks Experience writing scripts for debugging using Fiddler/Charles, JMeter, etc. Ability to troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins Job etc Experience Logging Defects with all relevant details (debug logs, network logs, initial root cause analysis, etc) and tracking the defect to closure Collaborate with a globally distributed team. Nice to Have: Experience on gRPC calls testing Expertise in monitoring Server logs using Kibana, Newrelic, Splunk Expertise in integrating automated tests with the CI/CD pipeline tools such as Gitlab/Jenkins, contribute to continuous improvement in processes and procedures Expertized in source code management tools such as Gitlab/Github Experience working on Linux Server, monitoring commands
