Requirements
Must:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Preferred: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Cyber Security, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in IT hardware, software, network support, and/or security.
- Hands-on experience managing production environments; Microsoft Azure certifications are advantageous.
- Proficient in scripting/programming languages such as PowerShell, Python, Perl, Bash, YAML, and Java.
- Experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux and its networking services.
- Familiarity with Microsoft technologies, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Understanding of server virtualization technologies like VMware and Hyper-V.
- Knowledge of storage technologies such as SAN and NAS.
- Awareness of firewall and networking architecture.
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Oracle RAC, Oracle Database, Oracle WebLogic Server, Windows Server, and Linux distributions is a plus.
- Familiar with IT industry standards and change management processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies and practices.
- Experience deploying Azure resources and other cloud technologies, including Office 365, PaaS, IaaS, SaaS, and Power BI.
- Willing to occasionally work evenings and/or weekends.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of server and database cloud infrastructure.
- Execute deployments, updates, and modifications for all production systems.
- Handle installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of database infrastructure.
- Ensure servers, databases, and cloud services are set up and maintained according to departmental specifications.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop current and future database architecture aligned with business objectives.
- Maintain documentation of configurations and processes, and monitor database performance, providing reports to management.
- Participate in managing database security solutions and implement administrative procedures, including disaster recovery plans.
- Address and troubleshoot outage escalations and monitoring alerts, while managing code releases to production systems.
- Document and design current and future infrastructure and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for IT systems.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for new design and architecture projects.
