Requirements
Must:
We are looking for candidates with a technical degree (4-year) and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. You should have at least 3-4 years of experience in Acquisition Software Engineering. Your background should include engineering or computer science with a focus on software engineering and development of software systems. Familiarity with software requirements allocation, design, process management, open architecture principles, and software integration and testing is essential. Knowledge of military avionics systems, components, and software is highly desirable. Understanding systems engineering practices, procedures, and tools related to Avionics and Weapons systems is also sought after. You must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels, possessing strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to navigate conflicting views. A Secret clearance or the ability to obtain one is required, and you must be a U.S. citizen.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will monitor research and operations, providing oversight, direction, and management for significant technical efforts. I will serve as a liaison for NAVAIR, engaging with headquarters, contractors, and other governmental entities involved in the program. I will provide technical guidance to government leads, report on the program's technical direction, manage work planning and scheduling, and assess adherence to schedules and overall project successes. My duties will include reviewing reports and designs to ensure compliance with contract requirements, conducting technical reviews to evaluate service or equipment changes, and advising government officials on technical matters. Day-to-day, I will offer direct systems engineering and scientific support to address engineering requirements and technical issues related to software development. I will oversee strategic software planning, serve as the technical interface for the computer science and engineering community, and facilitate real-time access to experts for problem-solving. Additionally, I will provide support and oversight for Program Increment priority workloads and evaluate any contractor changes to processes and software development plans.

My critical tasks will include performing work in computer science, data science, operations research, or other scientific endeavors related to mathematical theories and methods in engineering, testing, evaluation, and logistics. I will tackle a variety of complex problems involving competing objectives, deliver optimized technical solutions within set cost, schedule, and technology constraints, and function as part of an integrated team to provide technical guidance to the workforce. I will coordinate segments of projects and apply various tools, including Risk Management, Data Management, Technical Performance Measurement, and more.
